Our Charity Partnership With Macmillan Cancer Support
After a successful partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support for the last 12 months, we are delighted to announce Macmillan will continue to be Poundland’s charity of the year for 2010-11.
A fundraising target of £100,000 was set for 2009-10 and it was smashed within nine months of the year, going on to raise £181,000, which is fantastic!

A huge thank you to all our loyal customers who have helped raised this money and the dedication of our stores, as we could not have done it without you.
The money will go to helping improving the lives of people affected by cancer, providing practical, medical, emotional and financial support. Working alongside people affected by cancer, Macmillan works to improve cancer care.
This year we have pledged to raise £150,000 and with your help and support again we are confident we will smash the target once again.

How can I help?
There will be a number of fundraisers throughout the year which you can get involved in. The first one will be in support of the World Cup and will take place on Friday 18th June - look out for further details in your local store or visit the Poundland website.
Alternatively, you can donate any time you are visiting a store as collecting tins are available at till point. You can also purchase a dual branded trolley keyring, or pin badge with all proceeds going to Macmillan.
