Since the launch of Poundland in 1990, we have had a dedicated trading team delivering Amazing Value into all our stores.
Chris Wall has responsibility for Food + Drink, Health + Beauty, Household, Baby, Batteries & Pet categories. Chris has gained considerable experience across all FMCG categories with many years of experience within the discount sector and has also worked within Nisa and the Coop.
Ian has considerable previous experience with Poundland having worked with the business from 2004 until the Summer 2008, originally in the role of Senior Buyer responsible for Health & Beauty and Household and then as Trading Controller for Events.
Ian has in addition gained relevant experience in his role as Trading Director for JT Frith and more recently as an Associate with CLT. Ian rejoined Poundland in March 2010.
Charlotte joined Poundland in early 2004. Charlotte has progressed through the company and was promoted to Trading Controller for Events in 2008.
Kate joined Poundland in October 2011, and holds full responsibilities for the Marketing Team. Kate has extensive retail services marketing experience.
Kate is supported by a fantastic creative marketing team lead by Harminder Sidhu (Marketing Manager), Andrea Ross, Martine Hirrell, Rachael Dudley and Laura Knight. In our robust QA department - Stephen Jasiewicz (QA Manager), Mark Copson, Myles Fenn, Nicola Jones and an additional 8 individuals in our inspection and testing section (4 of which are based in Hong Kong).
Neil joined Poundland in August 2006 and has years of experience in design and print with Tetra Pak and later at Somerfield as Packaging Design Manager.
Neil looks after a very talented in-house team of 4 designers: Cris Hanson, Daljit Gill, Sally Ball and Kathy Lau (based in Hong Kong), supported by in-house photography from Craig Coley.
They are able to handle any design project that a busy retail business could possibly need and pride themselves on being the fastest team in UK retail.
Kevin joined Poundland in October 2009, and is responsible for maximising value for money in all categories of Goods Not For Resale and Indirect costs. With over 20 years retail experience gained at T&S Stores, One Stop & Tesco in High Street, Neighbourhood and Convenience sectors.
