Project Manager – Store Development

Vacancy date: 31/08/2006
Department: Property
Salary range: £30,000 - £35,000

Job Purpose

To project manage capital and minor shopfitting and building works

Accountable to the Property Controller you will;

  • Support the Property Team in developing and improving the Property service through continuous review of policies and procedures, ensuring best practice, providing sound project management advice and regular communication to the Business

Functional Role:

  • Survey and mapping of new and existing stores using Auto Cad 2007
  • Manage CDM regulations
  • Managing on site internal and external contractors
  • Conduct site Surveys
  • Pre and post contract administration for capital and minor works
  • Prepare budgets for capital and minor works
  • Prepare tender documentation for capital projects
  • Carry out post contract administration and analysis

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma/Degree in building/project management
  • 5 years project management experience within a retail environment
  • Solid knowledge Auto Cad 2007
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations
  • Project Management skills
  • Strong knowledge of planning and building regulations
  • Sound analytical, planning and organising skills
  • Good communicator and problem solver

  • Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills who can interact with both team, colleagues and external contacts
  • Well developed influencing skills – able to present clear and evidence based arguments to justify recommendations
