Poundland’s CEO wins Business Achievement Award!
Poundland’s CEO, Jim McCarthy, was delighted to receive The Grocer Cup’s Outstanding Business Achievement Award last night. The IGD Food Industry Awards was held at The Lancaster Hotel, London.
The Grocer Cup for Outstanding Business Achievement is one of the grocery industry’s top accolades
It is awarded to the individual who has inspired exceptional results in the preceding year and has made the biggest contribution to the grocery industry.
Jim McCarthy was shortlisted for the award amongst nine other outstanding executives including: Justin King, Chief Executive at Sainsbury’s; Ken McMeikan, Chief Executive at Greggs; Dalton Philips, Chief Executive, at Morrisons; Paul Polman, Chief Executive Officer at Unilever; Mark Price, Managing Director at Waitrose; Peter Blakemore, Managing Director at AF Blakemore; Ranjit Singh Boparan from 2 Sisters; Richard Cousins, Chief Executive at Compass; and Paul Walsh, CEO at Diageo.
