Poundland invests in technology to improve its customers’ check-out experience

POU13022016_15Poundland, Europe’s leading single price retailer, has completed a significant technology rollout by upgrading all of its UK and Ireland (Dealz) stores to accept payment by Contactless and Apple Pay.

Poundland customers want a fast, friendly and efficient checkout experience. The completion of this initiative allows customers the choice of paying quickly and efficiently using Contactless payments.

Over a quarter of all card payment transactions made in Poundland stores are now Contactless reflecting customers’ appetite for the more convenient payment option.

IT Director, Mike Gray says: “We continue to listen to our customers and invest in new solutions to make the Poundland customer experience an enjoyable one. We are delighted that so many of our customers have adopted Contactless and are now benefiting from a faster checkout experience.”
