Sharwood’s Black Bean Stir Fry

Make your own tasty Black Bean Stir Fry with this recipe. Served with beef, green peppers, garlic, onions, toasted cashews & Sharwood’s noodles in soy sauce.

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and crushed
  • 500g sirloin or rump steak, thinly sliced into ½ cm strips
  • 1 green pepper, deseeded and cut into strips
  • 195g jar Sharwood’s Black Bean Sauce
  • 50g cashew nuts, toasted
  • 2 nests of Sharwood’s Noodles
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

Method

  1. Heat a large frying pan or wok with the vegetable oil
  2. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes on a medium-high heat, until the onions have started to soften
  3. Stir in the thinly sliced beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes on a high heat
  4. Meanwhile, plunge the noodles into a large pan of boiling water & simmer for 4 minutes.
  5. Add the peppers to the beef and cook for 1-2 minutes
  6. Pour the jar of black bean sauce over the meat and bring to a simmer
  7. Drain the noodles and stir in the soy sauce
  8. Serve the beef with the noodles and top with toasted cashews
