Return An Online Purchase


I have changed my mind on an item I have received, how do I return it?

You can return your order to us within 28 days from the date of purchase. All we ask is that the item(s) are returned in its sealed original packaging and in a resaleable condition. Please include your order number, name, and list the items you wish to return within the parcel – failure to include this information may delay your refund.

Sadly, due to health and hygiene, unless faulty, there are a few exceptions and we’ll sure you’ll understand. We can’t offer a refund on opened food, beverage or liquid products, pharmaceuticals where the seal is broken, pierced jewellery items, underwear, or swimwear if the hygiene label has been removed.

We’ll issue your refund to the original payment method within 10 days of receiving your return, less any discount that may have been applied at the time of purchase. There’s no need to contact us, we’ll be in touch as soon as your returns been processed.

Please note, Poundland do not cover the return cost of postage. We can’t be responsible for the loss of returned goods. To avoid loss, we advise you keep hold of your proof of shipping until you’ve received your refund.

How do I post items back to Poundland for a refund?

Return An In-Store Purchase


How I return an item I purchased in store?

You can exchange or get a refund on unused items returned within 28 days of purchase. All we ask is that the item comes back to us in its original packaging, in a resalable condition and with a valid proof of purchase. Sadly, due to health and hygiene, unless faulty, there are a few exceptions and we’re sure you’ll understand. We can’t offer an exchange or refund on liquids, food items, pierced jewellery items, face coverings, underwear, or swimwear (if the hygiene label has been removed). Also, if any returned products were part of a multi-buy promotion, then all of them must be returned. There are a few other regulations we need to abide by – we’re unable to exchange or refund the following products and services purchased at our stores: domestic sim cards, domestic and international top up, gift cards and eGift.

As for our Pep&Co Clothing and Home stores, our refund policy is largely the same. We offer an exchange or refund on unused items returned within 28 days of purchase. Clothing must be returned unworn, in a resalable condition and with a valid proof of purchase. We also offer an exchange for our £1 bags within 12 months with the original till receipt.

We have to tell you too that our policy is offered in addition to your statutory rights.

Can I return an item to any Poundland store?

Yes, please return your item to any of our stores. You can find your local store using our Store Finder.

Do I need my receipt for an exchange?

Yes, you’ll need a copy of your receipt or proof of purchase for both an exchange and a refund.
