Online Returns Policy

This Returns Policy only applies to purchases that you make online on our Website (it does NOT apply to any purchases you make in-store) and it forms part of and is incorporated into the Poundland Terms of Sale.

I have changed my mind on an item I purchased online, can I return it?

You can return most products that you buy on our website to us within 28 days from the date of purchase - subject to the EXCEPTIONS below.

EXCEPTIONS. Sadly you are not permitted to return products that are:

  • bespoke, “made to order”, created to your specification or clearly personalised;
  • sealed for health protection or hygiene purposes, if have received these items and unsealed them;
  • perishables, such as flowers or fresh food or drink products;
  • sealed audio, video recordings or computer software, if you have received these items and unsealed them;
  • pharmaceutical products, if the hygiene sealed packaging has been opened or tampered with;
  • pierced jewellery items, if the hygiene sealed packaging has been opened or tampered with; and
  • underwear or swimwear, if the hygiene label has been removed or tampered with,

unless you believe that something you have received is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described, in which case please contact our Customer Services Team at customer.relationsonline@poundland.co.uk.

How do I send items back to Poundland for a refund and who covers the cost of returns?

No, orders can’t be returned to our Poundland stores. We only accept returns of online orders to Poundland Digital Unit 5, Dearne Mls, Darton, Barnsley, S75 5NH.

We DO NOT accept returns posted to Poundland, Pattinson House, Midland Road, Walsall, West Midlands, WS1 3TX or to any of our store locations.

Poundland does not cover the return cost of postage - you are responsible for arranging and paying the costs of return (unless your products are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described, in which case please contact our Customer Service team on customer.relationsonline@poundland.co.uk).

When packaging up your products for return, please include a note that includes information such as your order number, name, and the items you wish to return within the parcel. This information is required to enable us to process your return and failure to include this information may delay your refund. If you need any assistance with the completion of your return, please contact our Customer Service team on customer.relationsonline@poundland.co.uk).

You are responsible for ensuring that the products being returned are properly packaged and, further, that you use a reputable courier or carrier to ensure that all returned products are received by Poundland in good time and good condition. Poundland is not responsible for any loss or damage of the returned goods. We advise that you keep hold of your proof of shipping until you’ve received your refund.

Can I return my order to my local Poundland store?

We only accept returns to Poundland Digital Unit 5, Dearne Mls, Darton, Barnsley, S75 5NH.

Will I get my delivery fee back if I return my order?

If you return your full order, then as well as the refund for your order you’ll receive a refund for your original delivery fee.

If you are returning an individual item(s) then you will only be refunded for the price of that product(s), less any discount that may have been applied at the time of purchase.

How long will it take for the money to be processed back to my account?

We’ll issue your refund to the original payment method within 10 days of receiving your return, less any discount that may have been applied at the time of purchase. Once the refund has been processed, it can take between 5-7 days for your bank to process it back onto your account. There’s no need to contact us, we’ll be in touch as soon as your returns been processed.
