Speedy Seed Colourful Blooms- Nasturtium Mix
This Nasturtium Mix is a vibrant and versatile flower mix perfect for any garden. These trailing and creeping plants not only add a splash of colour but are also ideal for attracting pollinators, enhancing your garden's ecosystem. Each pack contains up to 80 seeds, making it easy to create a beautiful display. For best results, sow the seeds between February and May, and watch them bloom from June to October, providing a long-lasting floral show throughout the warmer months. Perfect for filling beds, borders, containers as well as hanging baskets and window boxes for trailing displays.
Instructions For Use
Sow Indoors: Sow 2-3 seeds per 7.5cm pot, covering with 2cm of fine soil of good quality compost. Water well, keep in a warm sunny position, and cover with a plastic bag to speed germination. Seedlings can be transplanted when they are large enough to handle, allowing 25cm between plants.
Hardening off: Ensure the risk of frost has passed before planting outside. To acclimatise, place the plants outdoors during the day and indoors at night. Repeat process for 7 days, after which the plants can remain outdoors.
Sow outdoors: Once the risk of frost has passed, seeds can be sown direct where they are to flower. Sow seeds 2cm deep and up to 30cm apart into finely raked soil or pots of good quality compost. Nasturtium are perfect for the front of beds and borders, providing excellent ground cover. Alternatively, sow/plant around the edges of pots and baskets for cascading display of trailing flowers.
Seeds can be soaked in tepid water for 24 hours before sowing to help with germination. Remove faded flowers regularly to encourage more flowers to grow and spread.
