Speedy Seed Early Indoor Sowing- Tomato Moneymaker

Speedy Seed's Tomato Moneymaker is an excellent choice for early indoor sowing. These tomatoes are perfect for salads, featuring regular cropping and a sweet taste that enhances any dish. With up to 500 seeds per pack, you can enjoy a bountiful harvest. The recommended sowing period is between February and May, with the fruits ready to harvest from June to October.

Instructions For Use

Sow Indoors: Surface sow seeds into trays of damp good quality compost. Lightly cover with a fine layer of compost or vermiculite and place in a warm sunny position, cover with plastic bag to speed up germination. Transplant into 7.5cm pots when seedlings have 2 true leaves and grow-on in a heated greenhouse or on a sunny windowsill. Transplant again when flowers start to appear and feed with a high potash plant food.

Hardening off: Ensure the risk of frost has passed before planting outside. To acclimatise, place the plants outdoors during the day and indoors at night. Repeat process for 7 days, after which the plants can remain outdoors.

Growing on: For outdoor crops select a sheltered, sunny spot. The soil should be fertile, well-drained and consistently moist. Space plant 60cm apart. Support each plant by placing a cane next to it and securing the main stem to the cane with soft gardening twine. Harvest when fruits are firm and red.

Regular feeding such as watering, feeding, tying to supports and removing side-shoots will produce the best results.
